Steaming stag at sunset
I was with a client when this image was taken during the red deer rut. I had positioned my client in this spot a couple of hours before the sun set and promised it would be worth the wait. I hadn't anticipated what unfolded in the next hour in quite the way it did. The steam coming from this particular male deer as the temperature dipped was the best I'd ever seen by miles! It really made for some amazing images that afternoon.
