Little owl on the floor watching for airborn predators
Much of the little owls diet consisted of beetles and worms during the day. Both of these food iteams are found on the ground in often quite open spaces. While keeping close to the shelter of the barns, the owls would always be on the look out for airborn predators such as buzzards while seaching for food to feed the young chicks.
